A community-built archive

एक समुदाय-निर्मित अभिलेख

The Aggarwal Heritage exists to keep our rituals, history, and traditions alive for the next generation — in their language, on their phone, with the elders consulted. Made with love, for every Aggarwal, everywhere.

Why this exists

A generation away from losing it

The Aggarwal community traces its lineage to Maharaja Agrasen and the kingdom of Agroha — founded on equality, non-violence, and the principle of Ek Iint, Ek Rupaya: every citizen shares in building the community. Eighteen gotras descend from that lineage, spread today across India and the world.

In one or two generations, much of what our grandparents knew — the exact mantra for Lakshmi Pooja, the regional steps of Griha Pravesh, the meaning behind each phera at a Vivah — risks being lost. Younger families, especially in the diaspora, want to honour these traditions but lack a trustworthy, accessible source.

This portal is our small attempt to fix that: a single place where any Aggarwal family can come to learn, contribute, and connect.

Our mission · हमारा मिशन

Three commitments

01

Preserve, exactly as we perform

जैसा है, वैसा संरक्षित

Rituals as Aggarwal families have actually performed them for generations — with every regional variation respected and documented, not flattened into a single "correct" version.

02

Bilingual and accessible

द्विभाषी एवं सुलभ

Every guide in Hindi and English, with audio mantras, video walkthroughs, and printable PDFs — for the elder who reads only Devanagari and the child who reads only English.

03

Give back to the community

समुदाय को वापस देना

Donations are directed entirely to education and support for underprivileged Aggarwal families. The portal itself is built by volunteers — no operating costs from donations.

Generations remembered — every Aggarwal family carries history in album pages, letters, and oral memory.

Who builds this

A community project

The portal is currently built and maintained by the Singla family of Khori, Rewari, with content review and contributions from elders across multiple Aggarwal families. We welcome contributors of all skills — those who know the rituals, those who can record video or audio, those who can write code, and those who can simply share corrections.

Join us

Sign up to contribute, build your family tree, or simply explore. The community heritage — rituals, gotras, timeline, and history — is free and will always remain free for every Aggarwal. The private family-tree platform (your own tree, photos, stories, reminders) runs on a small per-family subscription that covers hosting and development; founding families stay free permanently.
